so i just connected my xbox 360 to my computer directly with a ethernet cable and i plan to share my wireless internet through that.

when i plug in the xbox however the lan says that there is limited or no connectiveity and using the test connection on the xbox it says that the ip test failed.

anybody have any ideas or a similar setup?

thx

Is it even possible for you to share a wireless connection that way?

I have an Xbox 360 wireless adapter I'll sell you.

yeah i set it up like this a month or so ago and i had no problem playing on live so i'm not sure why it won't work today

you have to setup the network connection manually. sometimes when automatic settings are used, over a period of time the network starts to deteriorate if it is not maintained well, software wise. check to see if it's a software problem before you move onto hardware issues.
