Connecting X-Fi Xtreme Gamer to front panel??

I want to connect my xtreme gamer to the front panel headphone port on my Thermaltake Tsunami case so I don't have to go in the back of the case and unplug my 5.1 speakers every time just to get the headphones in. I know that this can be connected to the motherboard to get headphone sound, but will this work with the X-fi card? Reading some other places I've read something about it not working with the front panel audio chords that cases come with , but you need some bullshit Creative console instead.
Anyway this picture is what I am referring to http://www.newegg.com/Product/...XtremeGamer+Sound+Card
where it says front panel connector on the 4th picture.
Any help is appreciated.

It actually can be done & I've seen a pin-out diagram somwhere but I can't remember where for the life of me.

I actually bought a bunch of parts back in late January, but I haven't had the time to put the adapter together yet. I think I have enough parts for two adapters, hopefully more. Spring break's coming up, so I should have some time when I get back from LA (March 14-15 is my free time). PM me if you're interested.

so is Creative just that big of dicks that they wont include a simple way of connecting the 'premium soundcard' that you already payed for to both the back AND front of your case for nothing else but convenience and getting more out of their product with a common pinout that every motherboard and case already follow?

It's an industry standard connector: Intel HD Audio. Prefab cables should be relatively easy to come by. Indeed, they should be included with cases.
