Hi There,

I was wondering if that is possible to connect one computer to the other using the USB ports with no special hardware (only using USB Cables).

If it is possible, do I need a special software for that ?

Thanks,

Oren

I saw a kit at a computer show that would do that, it was about thirty bucks though. It came with cables, software, and instructions. So yes, it can be done. Whether you need special cables, I don't know.

Yeah, but do I need a special device (such a special HUB to do it?) or can I just connect two computers using the USB Ports (only with cables) and use a certain software?

You can connect two computers using a Laplink or other cable designed for the job and software (total about $40). But this is not meant to be a network, just to copy files between the two.

You can always use windows Direct Cable connection and just get a paralell cable. It works great for transfering files between PC's. It is alittle tricky to configure the DCC sometimes, but works great once set up.
