Hello, I currently have an AMD Radeon R9 270x and when I use the DVI port and cables, the monitor does not get a signal from it but when I use the DVI to VGA adapter and plugin in the VGA cable it works. In case it helps, my motherboard and CPU are the ASROCK Z87 Fatality Killer and Intel i7-4770k.

Sounds like you are expecting the "auto input select" on your monitor to sense the signal. For the no signal condition, what input type is your monitor saying it is listening to? (It may be you have not enabled auto input sensing.) Thru the OSD, manually direct your monitors input to receive from DVI.

If you can adapt from DVI cable to VGA then you have DVI-I. Ensure that there is a DVI signal being made available from the Radeon. Check its control panel to see what signal control/select options are available.

How do I do this exactly? It says I have My VGA Displays.

Ok, are you using the D-sub in connection and hitting the input button to make sure it is looking for that signal?

Pressed the input button and it went to something called Cloud on which it said Citrix Receiver. Pressed input again and it went back to D-Sub.

This sounds correct then. The dvi port on that screen is what they call the Cloud and outputs to an additional display. The vga port is for input.

Oh so from the Cloud, I fill out the form from Citrix Receiver or something? What if I just want to go into my Windows 7 Pro screen instead of this Citrix thing?

The ipression i got from the manual was that the dvi was output only, but that was a quick read. I would encourage you to read it for yourself and see what you think.

Your monitor, notwithstanding a good one, is a specialty device and is not something, IMO, a typical private single user would think of buying (at least new).

Its inputs are LAN, USB, Mic & D-Sub with the DVI for output.

This is considered an enterprise/commercial application peripheral and as such you should go to your IT support for setup & direction of use.

If you want just to use it's basic display capability then use the VGA port and/or the "DVI out" to an appropriate second monitor.

Yeah. I got this display as a nice gift. Thank you. Thanks to your comment, I now know that I have to connect this to a second monitor for it to work for DVI.
