I'm trying to get a Windows 2000 Pro machine connected to a VPN tunnel setup on a Linksys BEFVP41 VPN router box. I already connected two office networks using a VPN tunnel from another BEFVP41 to this VPN router box.
I followed Linksys' instructions on how to get SSH Sentinel connected to a BEFVP41, but Sentinel won't connect. I get a "Cannnt open the VPN connection. Check that the gateway is online and verify that you are using the connect authentication key." error message after Sentinel tries for a few seconds to connect.
My remote Windows 2000 Pro machine is behind a Netgear RP614 NAT router box connected to a cable modem. Could using NAT be causing the VPN connection to fail? Any suggestions on how to go about tracking down the problem?
