Hi,

I would like to connect the sound + micro jacks (green and pink) of the front panel to the sound card.

The bundle of wires have many heads which says AC97, HD Audio and Azalia. The sound card is Creative Labs Audigy. On the card, there are many connectors but the one that seems to fit with the wires from the case is named SPDIF.

Is it possible to connect the wire from the front panel on the sound card? And if yes, how to do that?

Thanks very much in advance for any help.

Which model is your sound card. Very few of the Creative cards come with a front panel audio connector.

The Sound card is Sound Blaster Audigy, bought in 2004 may be. I have made some internet searches in the meantime. SPDIF is digital output, the front panel is analogue. They are not compatible. I saw a blog where someone succeeded in connecting the front panel to the sound card but he had soldered the wires on the back of the sound card.

I have solved the issue the low tech way, using a 3.5 mm extender cord to connect to the back of the sound card.
