Connecting Router to Router

Hi all.

I have an AirPort Express set up as my router, and that works fine and is the main network that I use. I also have a Linksys WRT54GL that is wired to a printer.

Currently, when I want to print from my computer, I have to manually connect to the Linksys network, which is a pain. I would like to wirelessly connect the Linksys to my main network, so I can print even when connected to my Airport Express.

Does that mean that I have to configure the Linksys as an access point? A bridge? Something else? How do I do that?

Thank you.

Connect an internal port on the Linksys router to one of the internal ports on the Apple router. Disable DHCP on the linksys router.

Can I do that wirelessly? The two routers are in different rooms. Additionally, there are no available physical ports on the Apple router.

Okay, set up a bridge, but printer doesn't show up in network.

I know that the bridge was set up successfully because when I connect other devices to the Linksys they are part of the network, e.g. when I connected a computer to the Linksys via ethernet it did connect to the internet, and when I connected a hard drive to the Linksys via ethernet that hard drive was visible and accessible on the network.

For some reason, when I connect the printer to the Linksys, it does not appear in the network. (I have used this printer on a simple network before and it did work perfectly, but with this setup it's not showing up).

What IP address is the printer getting?

If you plug another device into the Linksys, can you ping main router? Then, can you ping the printer?

The printer says that its IP address is 192.168.1.109

I'm not sure I know what pinging is, but I connected my computer (via ethernet) to the Linksys, opened command prompt, tried pinging the printer and then the main router and here are the results:

Good news!

I reset network settings on the printer, the printer rebooted.... and now it appears on the network and I can print!

Thank you for all the help.
