Connecting PSP to computer: am I missing something?

So I've hooked it up via a USB cable, but when I plug it in and switch it to USB mode, Windows can't recognize it. Do I need to install drivers or something?

yup, need mem stick, otherwise there's nothing to browse.

Yes, it's installed. Windows is coming up and saying USB Device Not Recognized.

strange, with mine it just recognized is a regular usb drive. you don't need to install any special drivers or anything.

hehe did you try to navigate to the "usb connection" selection on your PSP settings?

hehe I missed that 😱

I laugh because it remined me of when I first plugged mine in and I had the same problem. I was like...WTF? then I found the "USB Mode" setting
