Connecting PS2/360 to monitor

I have an Asus X1950 Pro and a Viewsonic VG2035wm monitor, and I'm just wondering if it would be possible to hook up a PS2 or Xbox 360. Also, how would I go about hooking up speakers to it?
 
The best way to hook it up would be directly to the monitor with VGA or component or composite cables and hook the sound directly to the speaker system. Basically you want to totally bypass the computer for best results. If you use video in on the computer there will most likely be some synch issues with sound and video and it will be impossible to do anything better than s-video for resolution as there aren't any component inputs on video card that i know of.
