This is on a thermaltake tsunami btw. I'm not with the pc right now so I'm just going from memory.

The tsunami manual was not really descriptive as far as what color is positive and what color is Negative. So, for example, if the HDD LED is white and blue, is there a general rule of thumb as to which color is either positive or negative?

First, get the manual. It's a pain in the ass to do this without the manual. So this is definitely a RTFM situation...

As for the color of the wires, usually there is a common colors amongst all of the cables; usually white, but I've seen some with black as the common cable color as well. So if you have wires that are blue and white, red and white, yellow and white, etc., then the white wire will be the negative (-).

The motherboard manual does not say whiat color is positive and what color is negative on the case front panel connections. It tells me what is positive and what is negative on the motherboard.

He's asking about the case wires. the mobo manual would tell him which pins are + or -.

The problem is that he doesn't know which leads form the case are + or -.

I've found with a new case it's always a trial and error. It's ussualy (not always) that they are consistant for all the leads .. some cases common wire collor will be + ... some will be -

I figured I am in for some T&E but since I'm at work and won't get a chance to mess with it for a while I would ask.
Also the motherboard only has a 2 pin Power LED whereas the case has a 3 pin connector (leads are in pin1 and pin3, middle is blank). The mobo manual says to remove the pin from the third slot and put it in the middle slot. So I'll have to figure out which one is the third.
I've run into it in the past and had to narrow down the options but I was just hoping someone with that case would swing in here and save me some time.

And thermaltakes support # just says to leave a message.

Thanks for the info.
