Connecting playstation to computer monitor

I have a GeForce 7950GT and I found this adapter lying around my house http://www.sharkyextreme.com/i...iw_radeon8500_card.jpg I was wondering If i can use this adapter to connect my Playstation 2 to my monitor via my video card. I've already hooked it up, but nothing seems to be happening. I'm not sure if this can work because I think SVideo can only output data and not input, but I wasn't sure. If this doesn't work, could someone please tell me how I can play Playstation using my computer monitor? Thanks
