XP needs to be FAT32 for 98 to network with it. You also need to disable the firewall that XP setup when you ran the home networking setup.

In XP try right clicking my computer and selecting manage. Click on local users and groups on the left and then click on users folder. Right click on guest on the right side and go to properties. Uncheck the box that says "account is disabled". Click apply and then OK. Let me know how that goes.

The file system on the XP box is irrelevant - It'll work just fine with NTFS. Disabling the firewall is necessary however.

Can you ping seally's IP address from bojangles?

As far as the password goes, make sure that there is an account on Bojangles with the same username and password as the account you use to log on to seally.
