can I add a network card to a always on computer for file sharing to that (always on)computer and internet connection?
My wife wants a computer in the bedroom as a media computer (play movies on TV, surf the internet). My router (D-Link 614+) doesn't have anymore ports open. I was thinking about putting a second network card in one computer that is always on (network storage/media storage) and using that second card to extend the network to the computer in the bedroom (with the ability to access files on the media/network storage).
Would I need to use a second hub to connect those two computers? Would I be able to access the files on the media storage Comp? Would it affect the ability of computer on the main network to access files on the mdeia storage? WOuld it work?
Thank you in advance...
