I currently have an older Linksys 802.11b network with several devices on it. I want to upgrade to the new MIMO networks because of the increased range. I recently moved and some of my devices have a very weak connection.
My question is, if I have 802.11b devices on my network will the entire network downgrade itself to 11mbs? I have a couple of devices (replayTV, XBOX Live), that I would like to take advantage of 'G's speed. If not, I'm not sure it will be worth the expense of upgrading. Also, is there anyway to continue using my old 802.11b router anywhere in the network?
