I have windows 7. I plugged in my xbox 360 controller to the USB port in my pc, and a little small window popped up bottom right of the screen that said "your device has successfully been" installed or something. Then I hit the xbox 360 button on the controller to make sure, and it took me to this super zoomed in steam window, for some reason. Then I figured out how to exit that, and clicked on Fallout 4 to play it. Instead of booting up like normal, it said "Fallout 4 could not sync with the cloud. Play anyway?" I've never even set up cloud for my PC or anything, let alone steam!
I quit it and tried it again. Then this time, steam could not even connect to the internet at all.
What exactly did my xbox 360 controller do to screw up my whole internet? How do I fix this? And after I fix it, do I still need to download special drivers for the controller to work in games, or when it said it successfully was working or whatever, does that mean it automatically downloaded the drivers? Because it was almost instantly, I doubt there would have been time.
