Connecting my PS2 to my laptop's wireless connection

Is this possible? I have a PS2 with an official network adapter and my laptop has a wireless connection with an open ethernet port. I tried using winxp's ICS and just connecting my laptop to ps2 via crossover cable and i have no internet going to my ps2. My ethernet ip is 192.168.0.1 and my ps2 is 192.168.0.2, both subnet mask 255.255.255.0. Any suggestions?
 
anybody.........i'm even having trouble connecting it through wire on my usr8054. anyone have this router and ps2 hooked up?
