connecting my pc to my fax...need a hand

well, i'm sittin here with a fax machine and a comp...and i dont know how to connect the 2 together...on the back of the fax there is what looks like a printer port...do i connect it like i would a printer?...then run a phone line from my comp to the fax and leave the fax plugged into the fax/phone jack?...
