Connecting my new SBLIVE 5.1 to my Home Theatre Reciever

I have the SBLIVE 5.1 Gamer, and I have attached a I/O daughter card to it for I could use the optical output to my reciever, and I get sound but I cannot get surround sound out of the comp, anyone know why?

Go into the Speaker screen of the Creative Surround Mixer application. Make sure 5.1 speakers are selected. Check the box for Digital output only. Click on the Advanced button, and make sure AC-3 decoding is NOT enabled (this is only for attaching analog 5.1 speakers like the DTT2200). You should now have surround sound.
