Connecting MP3 Player to stock radio

Its an 06 Kia Spectra with stock radio. There is no tape adapter, bluetooth, or audio jacks on the front for connection. I can go with the FM transmitter, but those hardly ever have good/CD sound quality.

I want to know if there are any other options I can use. I know somehow it can be connected in the rear of the radio, but I have no idea how that is done.

Just toss me some options/suggestions.

Thanks in advanced.

Well, get an FM transmitter (which sucks), or connect it on the back. That's pretty much it. I'd recommend wiring a headphone jack on the console somewhere to the back of the radio, so you have a convenient audio-in port for anything you wish to plug in there.

How do I go about wiring an audio-in port? I've never tried nor would I have any clue what to do. Is it a difficult task, or would it be easier for me to have someone else do it for me?

I couldn't find any Soundgate or similar auxiliary input adapters for Kia. Have you considered replacing the head unit altogether?

I'm just starting college so I barely have money. I have two jobs though, but that money has to go towards my insurance and car payment. I might ask for a head unit for my birthday which is in March so that wouldn't be too bad of a wait.

Recommendations maybe?

look for an aux-in by pie, I.E. the PIE adapter for a toyota is pie-toy, google it and they have models for all types of vehicles. I have one for my toyota corolla 2006 and it works beautifully. 2000% better than the fm modulator

A cheap stereo w/ aux-in wouldn't cost more than a fm transmitter or any fancy aux-in adaptor anyway. Hell you can buy a cassette player, those are even cheaper.
