I have this online manual of my MSI K8T800 FIS2R motherboard and I had just bought this Thermaltake Armor Series VA8000BWS Case and it came with all of these connections:

Cord One:
TPA +
TPA-
VG
VG
TPB +
TPB -
VP
Ground

Cord Two:
Speaker

Cord Three:
Micro SW

Cord 4:
Return R
Return L
Ground
Ear L
Ear R
Mic VCC
Mic-In

Now I've been looking at this manual online from my motherboard:
http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/m.../mnu/spt_mnu_detail.php?UID=496&kind=1

Highest Res Image I found:
http://www.motherboards.org/images/mobot/motherboards/4540.jpg?

And I dont know 1. Why None of the connectors in my case arent in my manual, and 2. If I have to buy a new motherboard.. idk.. I'd really be able to plug in and use my new case. How would I connect all of this? I'm so lost, thanks!

Cord one two and three should all go to the pins in the bottom left of that pic. The cord 4 needs to go into your onboard audio area

Oh, I forgot to mention, that I do have these cables as well:

Power LED
H.D.D. LED
Reset SW
Power SW

Those 4 I can figure out with the manual, but as for everything else.. I have no idea

Cord 1 looks like a front panel USB connector. TPA+ and TPA- are Data+ and Data- for one of the USB ports, while TPB+ and TPB- are the same for the other USB port. Not familiar with that particular motherboard, but it looks like the 2 yellow connectors on the left edge of the board are the USB headers.

Cord 2 is for the PC speaker. You want to connect that to the "speaker" pins labeled on JFP2.

Cord 3, I'm not sure, since you said you also have Power SW and Reset SW. Chances are, you don't need to use it.

Cord 4 is for the audio connectors that you likely have on the front/side/top of your case. Judging from the picture of the motherboard, it looks like those would connect to the top-left corner of the motherboard, possibly labeled JAUD1 (it's a little blurry in the picture, but that's what the label looks like).

STARTING OVER: Since this is getting I guess complicated:

I have this online manual of my MSI K8T800 FIS2R motherboard and I had just bought this Thermaltake Armor Series VA8000BWS Case and it came with all of these connections:

Cord One: EEE1394 Connections
TPA +
TPA-
VG
VG
TPB +
TPB -
VP
Ground
Case Motherboard Manual Image
http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/9185/whatever0ct.jpg
In my motherboard manual, there is no 'IEEE1394 Firewire Connection or Front Panel Audio Connector" Section.

Cord Two:
Speaker

Cord Three:
Micro SW

Cord 4:
Return R
Return L
Ground
Ear L
Ear R
Mic VCC
Mic-In
Case Motherboard Manual Image
http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/9185/whatever0ct.jpg
(Same Link As Above)

Cord 4
Power LED
Cord 5
H.D.D. LED
Cord 6
Power SW
Cord 7
Reset SW

(I Know where Cords 4-7 go)

Now I've been looking at this manual online from my motherboard:
http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/m.../mnu/spt_mnu_detail.php?UID=496&kind=1

Highest Res Image I found:
http://www.motherboards.org/images/mobot/motherboards/4540.jpg?

And I dont know these things:
1. Where would I plug the IEEE1394/Ear&Mic Connection Cords if at all possible
2. After I plug these In:
---Power LED
---H.D.D. LED
---Reset SW
---Power SW
------Into these slots: http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/6589/connector0ep.jpg
------The Computer did NOT turn on.
-----======FIXED
3. Where would I plug the "Micro SW" connector into? The Case Manual says "Consult manual for motherboard on location of Chassis Alarm", does that mean my mobo doesnt have this?

Please, I'm so lost. Anything will help! Thanks

I got the case to work. The case works, however I do not know where the Return R-Return L-Ground-Ear L-Ear R-Mic VCC-Mic-In Cables go..

also, if i wasnt 'ready' to build yet.. first off, lol, i've built 9 or so computers before.. this one was just different.. and second, its been a few hours and someone has yet to say they know where these connectors would even plug into..

Depending on what kind of sound card or onboard sound you have, those may not plug in anywhere. They sound like connectors for audio jacks on the front of your case. I have some of the same ones with my CM Centurion 5 case but have nowhere on my Audigy sound card to plug them in so I just left them unplugged...I can't use the built in headphone or mic jack on the front of my case but there's nothing that can be done about it.

it cost me $100 to find out that the Asus P4C800 documentation is slightly
different from the on-board silk-screen.

i have a few computers where i haven't hooked up the power switch.
i just short out the on-off power switch jumpers with a screwdriver
or something. haven't broke anything yet !

I agree, "1" looks like connectors for the usb on the board, this is your front panel usb.

"4" is definately the connectors for your onboard osund to be played through extra front panel connectors.

"2" is the connector that matches the description in your manual and connects to jfp2.

This leaves "3" which is wierd, by the way you must have other connectors for the mobo to work. I mean HDD Power etc.

I'm coming in late on this one, but I just wanted to make a comment if I may. First of all, Not ALL Cases and Motherboards are created equal. Your case was designed to accomodate several different types of motherboard installations from micro-ATX and ATX to E-ATX and BTX. The case manufacturer, in hopes that you will buy thier case, throws as much support for as many different types of motherboards it can. However, not every motherboard has every feature or every bell and whistle there is, so your going to have some extra cables that wont apply to your particular motherboard. Your motherboard already ships with the necessary cables for most installations in various cases anyway. Your case provides cables for 2 additional USB ports and 2 firewire ports. They are made so you can connect them to various motherboard layouts and the manufacturer assumes that most system integrators will know where each connector lead goes when they are assembling a new PC. I hope this helps - There are a few different types of USB connector and IEEE1394 port pin layouts. They are as follows:

USB type A pin Assignment (flat female connector)
Pin 1 - (VBUS) (color RED) - Power
Pin 2 - (D-) (Color White) - Data -
Pin 3 - (D+) (color Green) - Data +
Pin 3 - (D+) (color Green) - Data +

USB type B pin Assignment (square Female connector)
Pin 1 - (VBUS) (color red) - Power
Pin 2 - (D-) (color White) - Data-
Pin 3 - (D+) (color green) - Data+
Pin 4 - (GND) (Color Black) - Ground

Mini-USB type A/B Pin Assignment (OTG or On The Go single rectangle connector)
Pin 1 - (VBUS) (color RED) - Power
Pin 2 - (D-) (Color White) - Data -
Pin 3 - (D+) (color Green) - Data +
Pin 4 - (ID) (Type A - GND: Type B - NC)
Pin 5 - (GND) (Color Black) - Ground

For Firewire or i.link connector (IEEE 1394a-1995)

Firewire/i.Link 6 Pin Connector - found on most PC's
Pin 1 - (Power) - Power (18V - 25V,15w)
Pin 2 - (GND) - Ground
Pin 3 - (TPB-) - Pair B-
Pin 4 - (TPB+) - Pair B+
Pin 5 - (TPA-) - Pair A-
Pin 6 - (TPA+) - Pair A+

Firewire/i.link 4 Pin Connector - Found on most camcorders or digital equipment
Pin 1 - (TPB-) - Pair B-
Pin 2 - (TPB+) - Pair B+
Pin 3 - (TPA-) - Pair A-
Pin 4 - (TPA+) - Pair A+

For Firewire/i.link 9 pin connector (IEEE 1394b - Firewire 800)
Pin 1 - (TPB-) - Pair B-
Pin 2 - (TPB+) - Pair B+
Pin 3 - (TPA-) - Pair A-
Pin 4 - (TPA+) - Pair A+
Pin 5 - (TPAR) - Pair A Ground Ref.
Pin 6 - (VG) - Power Ground
Pin 7 - (SC) - Status Contact (Reserved NC)
Pin 8 - (VP) - Power (12-25V DC, 15W)
Pin 9 - (TPBR) - Pair B Ground Ref.

I hope this info is helpful to you and anyone else who wanted to know...
