Connecting laptop to HDTV???

Hi, I've got a laptop at work with S-Video out and I frequently bring work home with me. Instead of working on the laptop's screen, how would I connect my laptop to my HDTV? Do I just connect the S-Video out on my laptop to my HDTV or do I also need a program that will set the screen size and refresh rate.....etc. I would love to work off my the 50" HDTV instead of the 17" laptop screen. Thanks.

Just plug it in. Your S-Video output probably maxes out at 800x600 at 60hz, which should be fine for your HDTV.
