Connecting IDE drives

I just bought a CD-RW, but I'm not sure of the best way to make the IDE connection . I'll list the pertinent specs:

ASUS CUBX-E mobo with four IDE connectors; the "primary" and "secondary" are black and for UDMA 33 drives, and the "third" and "fourth" connectors are blue and for UDMA 100/66 drives.

I have a UDMA 100 HDD, a UDMA 66 DVD, and the CD-RW which I assume is UDMA 33.

What connectors on my mobo should I connect each of these drives to, and what ones should be master or slave? Thanks.

suggest you connect the hdd to the ata100 ide controller & install the optical drives as masters on both primary & secondary ide controllers!

If you have 4 ide controllers, definitely give them their own controllers. That way you can use them all independently without slowing everything down.
