connecting CD-ROM digital sound to 8RDA+

Has anyone been able to correctly hook their CD player's digital out to the 8rda+? I attached the 4-pin connector as detailed in the manual, but when I play a CD, it is still playing through the analog channel. Has anyone had similar problems?

Thank you.

Did you enable "Digital Output" in the Sound Properties?

In WinXP go to Control Panel \ Sound, Speech, Audio Devices
In Win98/ME/2k right-click Volume control on Task bar, Advanced

Yes, I enabled digital output.

Maybe it's the cable? Anyone know where to get another one of the cables for cd-rom digital out?
