I now have a biostar tp43d2-a7 I jus want to make sue I do everything right. I want to connect the pwr sw swith to the right place. I know the basic area but the pins are a little confusing. Anyone know the exact pins? Say like 3 over from the left of the general area is blank. then there are 2 pluses and a minus. Will plugging this in wrong and turning it on kill the motherboard?

RTFM! If you look at the connectors from the case, you will see a triangle or arrow shape on one end of each connector, that indicates pin 1. Look in your manual and check which set of pins and the correct orientation to plug them in.
It's on page 17 of your manual here.

okay thanks??? I mean I did read the manual but obviously if I'm on here I'm having a problem hooking it up. That's why I wanted some more specifics. Sorry if the computer gods haven't blessed me with immediately knowing how to do it. I've seen it on the manual and hooked it up the way I thought it looked but it didn't work. If someone else could calmly explain to a newbie that would be helpful.

It sounds like you have a short somewhere. Double Check all of your connections and how the board is mounted in the case.

Thanks . I figured out that it works outside of the case. Everything revs up. So I went and bought some plastic spacers but they don't seem to fit in the case holes. The part that spreads fits through the motherboard fine but not in the case. Is there a diagram somewhere that would help? thanks for your response
