Does connecting your Audio through a keyboard port give you lower quality then connecting directly to the back of the computer? I have Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 and a XARMOR keyboard

Why does your keyboard have an audio port? If the wiring sucks or the connections or low quality that would reduce your audio fidelity.

Seems to me to be a simple comparison that you can do and then report on. Try it both ways and let your ears give the answer.

My guess is, they won't be able to tell the difference. :)

If its analog, every connection will degrade the signal somewhat. The less the better.

theoretically yes

practically, you'll never notice a difference

And that is why I said what I said. :) Most people's speakers and/or ears are not that good.

"Built in headphone & microphone jack pass-through"

Pass through means you plug a cheap low quality cable into the cheap low quality socket on the back of the pc, plug the other end of the cheap low quality cable into a medium quality socket input on the keyboard and then plug your microphone or headset into the medium quality output socket on the keyboard. Congrats you have paid $100 for two extension cables.

I would expect initially when all the connections are new and clean to hear no difference, and over time for the connections to corrode, get dirty, loosen up and the sound to degrade if not disappear from time to time.
