connecting access point to FIOS Gen3 router

I had a FIOS Gen 2 router with a Belkin wireless router attached as an access point.

I updated the FIOS router to Gen 3, and assumed I could just hook up the access point to the new router. When I did, the new router did not see it. Does anyone have a pointer to a decent primer to set the secondary router up?
