i know home shouldn't be able to do this, but i hear rumors that it can. is this possible? . i'd like to get our fileserver connected to the domain i've set up at home, but my wife's lappy is still running xp home and i've been afraid to have the fileserver join the domain for this very reason.
if i do have this server join, is my wife still going to be able to access her files, or do i need some sort of tweak to get her laptop to join the domain? i'm not worried too much about gpo's ( i heard taht a home box connected to domain will have group policy disabled?) so if it's possible can anyone point me in the right direction?
i'd buy an pro upgrade for my wife's lappy but atm with the holidays and such i'm a bit lacking for cash.
