Connecting a Wii to monitor

Is all I need something like this?

Neither of those will work - converting Component video to VGA needs a transcoder, not just an adapter.

I actually sold lots of these years ago: VDigi Transcoder, and would recommend them. Note they only support 480p Gamecube games as some GC games are 480i.

I used to use a VDigi as well, on my original Xbox to connect it to my monitor. It worked okay but the brightness/contrast always seemed to be off.
