Connecting a monitor through DVI...

I had an old 19" CRT monitor (Studioworks 995E, if you're interested) that connected through the analog connector; didn't have any sort of lag issues.

I switched to a Samsung Syncmaster 941BW (using the DVI connector), and now I'm finding occasional hiccups, both in gaming and in general usage. Could using the DVI connector cause this? Or is there another cause that I should be looking for?

Specs:
Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9
Opteron 146
2 GB Patriot DDR-400 (2-3-2-5)
BFG 7800 GT

if you still have the 'hiccups' with using either vga or dvi cable then you might want to do a clean install of the latest graphics drivers.

and please use some kind of driver cleaner to get rid of any remnants of the uninstalled driver.
