Connecting a DVD Player to my LCD...?

Check my sig for the setup. The problem is that I want to connect a DVD player directly to my Sony SDM-P234 23" lcd, but it lacks component inputs. The only inputs it has are DVI and VGA (HD-15). So here's the quesiton:

Are there any dvd players out there (not dvd drives though a pc) that can connect via DVI? If not, is there some kinda converter that exists to output from DVI to component video? And, while we're at it, what's the quality like btw component out and DVI (I know it's apples and oranges...but who cares)?

There are a few that support DVI and/or VGA output. They're typically not mainstream brands.
