Ok my situation is as follows. I am in an apartment in a multi family house. I have made arangements to share the internet with the people who live above me. they currently have wireless internet. right now I can connect using each machine seperatly wirelessly, but I have multiple devices that require a wired connection (replaytv/computer). So I was thinking I could do the following:

I have a d-link dlw-G820 wirelsss gaming adapter and a d-link four port/wireless router of my own. the gaming adapter is usually used to connect an xbox or ps2 to a wireless signal, but It can really be used for anything. I was wondering if I could use the gaming adapter as the wan and connect my router to the adapter to created my own seperate network in my apartment.

Internet --> modem ---> wireless router(upstairs) -----> Gaming adapter (down stairs) ---> wirelss router ---> switch ----> devices

Has anybody done this? does anybody have any ideas how to do this?

thanks
