I'm looking at building a new server using a 3ware 9690SA-4I SAS RAID card and a Supermicro SC743TQ-865B-SQ case with a SAS hot-plug backplane. What cables do I need(if any) to connect the RAID card to the backplane to make the drive status LEDs work? I know the backplane has I2C and Sideband connections. Thank you for any info you can give me.

you are going to need a a sas to sata cable. Do you already jave the 3ware 9690SA-41 sas card? if not, it should come with the cable with it already.
