All 3 have legit and unique cd keys/cds

2 pcs are w2ksp4 1 is xpsp2

The xp machine has firewall turned off

TCI/IP is enabled, as is netbios. They are all on the same workgroup, all have access to each other on the lan (file and print sharing is active) and in lan games and they all have the same subnet mask and are on the same ip subnet (standard 192.168.0.x)

The best i can get is my pc and the xp pc on at the same time. I cannot get the other 2k pc and the xp one logged in simultaneously.

All 3 pcs are using different port numbers set in the game options (6112, 6113, 6115) and I did add these ports and the corresponding pc ips to the virtual server part of the router interface although as I said it's fully opened inc and out...the router is a dlink di-704. If it helps the lan accesses the internet via a homeconnect "sharkfin" cable modem.

Oh and the other 2k pc (the one that cannot connect at the same time as the xp machine) is cabled to the router through a plain linksys(?) hub. Could that be causing some kind of problem?

This was not an issue when all 3 pcs were running 2ksp2, if that helps at all.

I've exhausted battle.net knowledgebase :(

Please help - if at all possible I need this working this week

Thanks

Sorry I dont have an answer for you but if all 3 systems worked as you liked with w2ksp2, set up a dual boot system on the xp system?

Unless theres a key problem in there. Does sound like the most awkward thing to do but I cant think of another solution atm. Networking is a pain at the best of times for me.

I'm actually surprised you can log more than one machine on.

I always thought that the computers behind a router all have the same public IP and when you try and join a server that to it looks as if you are already connected, then it won't let another connection in. That has been my experience anyway, with HL2/CS:S and others. My brother and I both bought HL2 but we can't play on the same server.

I believe there is a program, legal or otherwise, that allows multiple copies of Diablo2 to be ran on the same PC and connect to battle.net simulatanously, allowing for muling and such.

I had the same presumption about IP addresses and servers until I heard about this. Whether its true or not, is another matter.

I believe the program you are looking for is called D2Loader. I used to use it with Diablo 2 with seperate CD-Keys to get two accounts on B.net... not sure if it still works with the latest patch tho since I gave up D2 a while back...
