Connecting 2 Linksys WRT54GS wireless routers?

A buddy of mine is on deployment in Iraq and needs some networking help. He's trying to connect two Linksys wireless routers (so they're on the same network). I've downloaded the manual and can't really find anything specific on how to set this up. I'd probably be able to figure it out if I had access to the routers, but obviously I don't.

The setup as follows: 2 routers, each in a different building. 5-6 client PCs will connect to each router wirelessly. He needs all PCs to be able to talk to each other.

Any suggestions on where to start with this?

Yep, you are looking for WDS. If his firmware is 4 or lower, just upgrade and setup wds on each router to share and you will be good to go.

Does he have the routers already? If not, you can ship them to me. I will flash and configure them for free, for the troops.

Really, I'd be glad to do it. I have flashed about 15 of those routers, and have two active WDS pairs running. I have another router set up in client mode.
