Connectify Port forward issue

Alright, here goes nothing...

Where i live the only possible internet right now is Satellite (we currently have hughesnet) and that is that. well my uncle and neighbor had ha friend working in the DSL service of At&t and he managed to get a 2MB DSL connection. so therefore i immediately asked him if i could use it so i could play some online games and do things with speed instead of stupid old sattelite internet. He said yes so i went to work on it. Now i am set up with my gaming desktop hooked up to my laptop via Cat5 LAN cable and my windows vista laptop running connectify and sending me my uncles internet. this works all fine and dandy for gaming and such, until it comes down to port forwarding. since my desktop is not directly connected to my neighbors router (currently a versalink one) i cannot portforward to my desktop, only my laptop, and this does not help any servers i run on my desktop. so my question is, is there any way areound this? i cant run my game servers on my laptop so i need to run them on the desktop.

Any help is appreciated before u give it.

Wireless Bridge from the neighbor to you, this would extend the wireless LAN and allow you to have all of your devices and setup port forwarding without the laptop even being needed in the equation.

This is assuming you are currently just trying to grab the signal via the laptop and pass it to a desktop, it wasnt really that clear to me

that is exactly what i was trying to do, but i am on a budget and would prefer not to have the additional hardware besides my laptop. is there no way to just go straight through connectify at all.
