connect3d x1900gt

i bought a connect 3d radeon x1900gt from newegg. occasionally these colored pixels show up on the screen, sometimes while gaming other times after a screensaver. if i restart my computer they go away, but it eventually comes back. i have the latest drivers from ati, no overclock, everything stock. is there a fix, or should i send it back?

Did you have these colored pixels before the connect3D? If not I'd RMA it back to NewEgg. One other thing, check for temperature.

well, its a new system. i can't tell the gpu temp, but the case temp is fine.

I had a connect3d radeon 9600 and it did the same thing. Actually the first one was DOA, second had those colored pixels which got worse until the core snapped and could not activate 3d anymore, and after RMA'ing again I sold the replacement. My guess is it has probably died long ago. The thing ran so hot it was crazy, and I found that connect3d didn't put any thermal goop on any of the cards either because of "environmental hazards." Heck they didn't even include a printed manual. No more connect3d for me. Only good thing about them was the tech support actually answered their phone (no computer menus but it wasn't an 800 number) and spoke english.

*sigh* sorry about the rant 😱 OP, odds are you'll have to RMA it.
