Connect wirelessly to USB device?

Is there something I can use to connect wirelessly to a usb device, bluetooth or other? The device has its own power. I would like to cut down on the number of cables.

In other words I am doing serial communication through a usb port. Is there a way I can make the communication wireless? Can I just connect a bluetooth dongle to my device and begin communicating with it?

For a printer? Yes. But you need a) Print server and b) Wireless bridge. Some wireless print servers contain both. For other USB devices such as standalone scanners, then NO.
