Connect wireless to existing wired LAN?

I'm pretty new when it comes to networking, and brand new when it comes to wireless networking. I was wondering if there is any product I can connect to my existing wired router, that will provide wireless access for my laptop. Or would it just be cheaper to sell this router and buy a new one that has wireless built in?? Thanks for the help.

Buy an Access Point and a Laptop Client Card and plug the Access point to any available Hub/Switch on your system.
