I've got digital phone here at home, and was thinking of picking up a wireless laser printer/scanner/fax machine and was curious to know if it's possible to have the fax machine connected (wirelessly) to the digital phone line.
I suppose in order to do that, I would need to connect the digital phone modem to my router somehow.
I've got a Motorola SBV5220.
I'm just starting to flip through the manual, but thought maybe someone else has done this before.
Edit:
Just as a side note, I've already got my router connected to an existing cable modem for the cable internet.
Could I just remove my existing modem and connect the router to the digital phone modem? Both modems seem to be connected to the same incoming coax cable.
Edit 2:
I can't use the digital phone modem as my internet modem. Maybe it's physically possible, but maybe my provider (shaw) crippled it.
I've got the modem connected as a device on my network though and the router sees it's static ip address.
I'm not sure how I could test out sending a fax though...
