Connect to printer out of the domain

Is there a way to connect a PC that is in a workgroup to a printer that is in a domain? Going thru the usual gives me "access is denied", of course.

Do I do a local attachment to the printer? Haven't done one in a while.

Thanks.

depends on the printer and such. The problem (most likely, I'm making guesses) is that Windows is passing DOMAIN\username to the print server. I am assuming this 1. is not an IP based printer, 2. Is shared on another PC. To get this to work, reboot (easiest way to reset it all), map a network drive to the print server using a different username/password that is valid on the local machine, and then unc path to the printer to install the drivers. You will have to open the network drive before printing if you haven't accessed/used it in a few hours, or between reboots.
