Anyone tried this? The soyo only has vga/dvi inputs but would be perfect for the ps3 or any other high def source.

Unfortunately I've heard people say that the picture is not displayed correctly when this is done but I don't know maybe some progress has been made in the past few months.

I'm going to buy a ps3 using the sony credit card deal if this can work with the monitor but not if I am forced to use my old 20 inch Sony tv..

you can use an HDMI->DVI adapter for the video, but I'm not sure how you would get sound outside of using TOS link.

Uh, as far as I know HDCP has no benefit until movies are released that use the image constraint token.

a lot of players automatically degrade no omatter what if they dont detect hdcp.

my vizio tv i know depending on the input i have selected and when my toshiba hd-dvd player was turned on, woudl report something about having to degrade quality.

that said, the soyo has no hdcp. for games it shouldnt matter though.

If that thing would do scaling I'd buy it myself. The 360 doesn't even have any 16:10 ratio resolutions and the Soyo doesn't have a scaling option other than stretch.

True, but I don't think I would mind 1080 stretched to 1200 for gaming, not movies. There are a few other products in that topic, none do scaling but I'm guessing one will soon.
