Connect PS3 Dell Monitor?

I recently brought a PS3 and wondering how I can connect to my HD/LCD Dell 19' inch monitor but it doesn't have an HDMI port. Before I was able to connect my xbox 360 to my monitor but I dont think I can do the same way with the PS3. Any suggestions on what I need to buy besides the HDMI cable

Does the monitor have component inputs? My Dell does, you could use that with the PS3. Otherwise you need an HDMI-DVI converter I believe.

just a note your monitor needs to be HDCP (i think thats what its called) or so i hear. mine is and plays everything perfectly.

Also you wont get audio from the HDMI to monitor so you will have to buy a couple extra parts and you can use the component cable and your computer speakers. Just need a 2 female to 1 male adapter and a female to female adapter. then hook up the audio cord from the ps3 to the 2 female to 1 male adapter, put the fe 2 fe adapter on the male end and then plug in your speakers to that female end.

byt he way if you google you can find some nice picture by picture steps on how to do it. In total it will cost you ~30 bucks for audio and hdmi

This. The PS3 requires HDCP at all times when using the HDMI/DVI output, even in games. Doesn't make sense, but that's how it works.
