Connect OK but IE setting fried

My nephew networked two computers, one running ME the other win98.
Afterwords both computers will dial out and connect but IE seems to be looking for a network connection and will do nothing. During the network install he ran ICS wizard, I'm sure this is what cobbed it up but cannot fix it. Two tech ppl from the local ISP have given up on us, their best advise was to install Netscape. I deleted dial-up and reinstalled and checked every setting I can think of to no avail.

Emory7--try running the wizard again--there is a selection at the start for modem or LAN connection. If you want both, find the internet options and add a new connection. You can designate the default connection from this window. Good luck, Paul
