I have a wireless router supporting 802.11 b/g/n standards and a usb EVDO modem.

The router only has RJ 45 jacks.
Is there some way to connect the modem to the wireless router so that it can provide wifi internet to the whole household ?

Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

Not sure about the modem, it simply says EVDO Rev A USB Modem. To start the modem it uses a program called Cyrus MC400.

Some steps I've tried :
- Connect modem to computer. Create a homegroup and share connection.
Failed because homegroup requires IPv6 which is unsupported by the modem.

- Disabling all IPv6 in Windows 7 using regedit is said to bypass the above problem.
No luck. Same thing about homegroup requiring

I read something about using either crossover cable or usb-to-rj45 adapter.
I'd prefer the cable since it should be much cheaper and I'm not sure if such adapter is available here (small town, 3rd world country).

I was thinking a little different. Under network Connections, instead of homegroup, set up an ad hoc network. Plug the USB Modem on the PC and from the PC ethernet port to the internet port on the router. Give your PC a network name, then go to the router, disable dhcp and point it to your PC as the gateway and dns server. Should work in theory. Now I'm gonna be up all night playing...
