I am installing a computer for my friend that I recently boought from outpost.com. I only have one IDE cable, however I want to connect the HDD and the CDROM. I was wondering if I could connect both the HDD and cdrom on the same IDE cable?

That computer may have an IDE cable with just one connector. In that case you'll need to use the cable from retail CD-ROM drive package or buy one that has two three connectors(one to the board, two for drives).

Set the HDD to master, CD to slave.

In the future please ask this kind of question in Technical Support. Thank you.
