Hello,

Is it possible to have an external Hard Drive and access it through both the eSATA and USB at the same time? The reason I would like to do this is to access the data from my computer through eSATA and have my media and games, while having connected my router with linux through USB. This way I can have access to my hard drive at all times, leave things downloading if I have to without having to have my PC turned on all day and instead use my router, also I'll be able to use the same hard drive to run my games from there. That is if it's possible ;P I'm about to decide if I should get an external HD or maybe just an enclosure.

Hope you can help me out with this.

Greetings
Juan

Welcome to AnandTech's Forums.

I do not think that it can be done unless you find an External Enclosure that was designed to provide such interface.

You need to use a Network Storage Device (NAS) for such an arrangement.
