Connect 3D

I have just recently placed an order for a PC, which containd a Connect 3D Radeon 9800 pro. I was wondering whether this company was any good, and whether it was reliable etc. Also how does it compare to other manufacturers e.g. Gigabyte, Hercules etc.

Connect3D are well known in Europe ,they are a partner of ATi and their reviews have been very good. They would be my second choice after Sapphire,so a decent brand IMHO,remember they all must conform to ATi quality standard and specs to be a partner.

Thanx Mem, you really put me at ease. I had heard about Connect 3D being very reliable, but had heard that they slightly 'underclock' their cards to make them more stable. Is there any truth in this, or a load of bs?

That`s news to me,as I said each partner of ATi must conform to ATi`s quality control.I think it`s BS,ATi would not have them as a partner for the European market if they had problems.

Btw Connect3D 9600Pro review here .

This card ran faultlessly on both a performance system as well as a more average older one. The drivers were rock steady on both XP and W2K and it performed equally well under dual as well as single mode. The DVD playback is excellent and the quality of the picture is sharp with nice bold colours. The user software is excellent making this a good card for gaming as well as general use.
