Conky question

I installed conky and I'm trying to get the weather forecast to work. I installed conkyforecast but it looks like it doesn't work anymore because of changes in the way the Weather Channel provides partner ID's. What should I use to get the weather forecast to work on conky?

Thanks in advance.

Weather feeds are a moving target. 🙂

I was using the Google Weather API for a few months, but Google turned off the service last week.

I'm in the process of switching my scipt to Conkywx (parser) & Wunderground (data). I'm quite happy with the results.

There are lots of paths you can take, but you need to find code that interests you. Most parsers bore me to tears , but Conkywx has been fun, so far, and the author (Paramvir Likhari) is a cool guy.

For the most part, you'll be rolling your own, so make it easy on yourself... 😉

Oh, yeah... Here's a screenie (Ubuntu 12.10 dev release).

Only been working on it for 4-5 days, so it isn't a finished product yet...
