Meh, he apologized and admitted he "shot an air ball." First day on the committee and the topic was strengthening US ties to India and talking about asking India's newly elected prime minister to address Congress.

Rookie mistake. We've all been there.

In one way or another, that's going to cost him some political points come next election cycle. His colleagues on both sides of the aisle may have some sympathy for him and see in him their own turn at "paying the price of admission". However, when the gloves come off during election campaign season, this guy is going to join the Palin/Cruz/Bachmann Chronic Crazies Club whether he likes it or not. The Tea Party is also going to suffer another kick downward in their already dismal credibility ratings and a lift upward in their opponents recognizing that party's penchant for getting loonies elected based solely on rhetoric, propaganda and emotional distress *no other qualifications necessary, will indoctrinate OJT*.

The dope should probably make sure he knows what he's talking about before opening his mouth, but...

Leave it to stank69 to make this a partisan issue.

I don't think this will affect him in the slightest. At least he knew what he was talking about, he just didn't know who he was talking to.

I'll give him a pass...but it was kind of funny.

This was on Tosh.0 the other day.
Hilarious and "uncomfortable" to say the least.
The dude on the right is smirking the whole time.

If this was the same one that was shown on John Oliver, I get his confusing. It was a hearing on India or some shit. Why on Earth would I be hearing and speaking to a committee of Americans when the topic at hand should involve the Indian government.

But, of course, assuming you're hearing from two Indian people that work fro the Indian government in a hearing about the Indian government is racist...

Had I made that mistake, I'd have simply responded with "Wtf are you doing here then? Send in someone from, you know, the fucking place I am supposed to be hearing about."
