Congress Certifies Bush's Win After Protest

Sen Barbara Boxer (D-CA) cries after Bush is certified. When will these liberal adults grow up? They are supposed to represent us in Congress, yet cry if they don't get their way?

"Each chamber then debated the objection, and rejected it, the Senate by a 74-1 vote, the House 267-31. The state-by-state certification was completed a few hours later."

BTW - Why was Congress so empty? Where are all of our reps and senators?

Good to see it's officially certified.

That doesn't mean there were not widespread problems during the election and after (during recounts).

Our entire voting process is a joke. It's even sadder that we've had four years to fix it after the last debacle and it's only been made worse.

It's a sad day for America. I don't blame her.
Look at the hole we are in after 4 years, and Bush is gonna keep digging.

Exactly how has it been made worse? That's right- it hasn't. It's been made a joke of by leftists who keep losing power and who are whining. Let it go already. If you have constructive ideas on how to lessen potential problems - fine, but to whine endlessly about doesn't do anything. But hey, keep it up - the voting public just loves sore losers....oh wait -that's right - they don't.😛

Yeah OP, it's hilarious the show the Dems put on yesterday. Quite a pity party - no?

No paper trail on e-voting. Ohio SoS Blackwell seeking to keep himself from even being interviewed about problems in Ohio. Much longer lines and less equipment in poorer urban precincts. Problems handling early ballots and provisionary ballots. Problems with moving voting locations days before the election. And on and on and on.

There are always problems - it isn't a new thing. Do you have something constructive or are you going to continue with the conspiracy card? I agree there needs to be a paper trail but for you and others to claim conspiracy is laughable. Oh, and provisional ballots need addressed - Any provisional ballots cast outside of the proper precinct should be tossed out though. Provisionals should only be used for cases where there is a registration/paperwork mistake - not as a blanket "vote wherever you want to system".

And where were many of these problems occuring in Ohio? They were in Democratic districts where Democrats were head of the voting procedures and processes. So why are the Dems not slapping the wrist of their own for their poor execution or even making an issue of it?

I don't think the answer to that is any secret whatsoever. It's a pisspoor playup of partisanship looking for pity; except they only have ended up looking pitiful in the process.

Another point:

What of the districts in Pennsylvania that had more democrats registered than actual residents?

Nothing was said about that....

Or the fact that there were more votes in places in Washington than eligible voters. Did that ever get addressed?

Ohio should implement King Co., WA's system. It was so efficient that it produced more votes than registered voters.

Where is the outrage at that?

Are we only outraged when it adversely affects Democrats?

I know that Bill Frist is over in Thailand helping tsunami victims. As for the other 484 reps and senators, I have no idea.

Just because lying is easy, doesn't mean you should do it:
King County, WA election results.
Ballots Cast/Registered Voters: 898238 / 1082406

That's the Presidential Election.

Supposedly for the Governor there was more votes cast than voters but I have not seen proof of that.

Nope.

Looks like it's the same ballot.

She feels guilty because she knows she should've stood up 4 years ago.

 What a bunch of B.S. for our Congress. We elected them to represent us at each and every vote, not to fly around the country and world for photo ops or to do goodwill. Leave that for other people whose job is to do just that. That is not what we pay them for.

Bush won. As much as 59 million other americans didn't want him to win, he won. get over it. I didn't want him to win either, but the fact is he won. Widespread fraud probably occured on both sides. Enough to make up over 3 million votes? I don't think so. In 2000 the naysayers were claiming Gore was the winner because he had the popular votes. Bush won both popular vote by over 3 million voters, and he got the EC. Enough is enough. Dems need to focus their efforts on 2006 and 2008, and this time find a freaking candidate that is better than the shrew you couldn't defeat the past november
